"Jamie took one of the most meaningful moments of our wedding and turned it into a painting I cannot stop staring at. The detail, the lighting, the emotion… he captured it all in a way that feels almost unreal. It’s not just a portrait, it’s the memory itself, frozen in the most stunning way."
ARE YOU READY TO memorialize your moment?
After painting more than 500 weddings over the past decade, I’ve learned a lot about love.
I have painted everywhere from the mountains of Vermont to the bays of Northern California to the breathtaking views of the Chicago Riverwalk, and through it all I’ve learned one thing: love and art go hand-in-hand. (Quite literally, actually!)
A wedding day is about much more than one night of celebration. It’s about the start of something real and powerful that lasts forever: your marriage. The gravity of this moment where two families become one and two souls are bonded can be permanently etched in time with each brushstroke to canvas. The heights of joy you reached on your big day can be remembered each time you look over and see your painting that was created live in front of you and all of your guests that day. It’s like reliving your vows over and over again.
I’ve been a professional artist for nearly 20 years, but painting weddings over the past decade has truly become my life’s work and greatest honor as an artist. I hope you’ll choose me to be a part of your love story!

Having Jamie at our wedding was an absolute delight! From his warm demeanor to his incredible talent, he added an extra layer of joy to our celebration. The finished painting exceeded our wildest expectations, becoming a cherished memento of our love story.

Hiring Jamie was easiest decision we ever made when wedding planning!! We felt so confident seeing his work from of one our friends who got married and we knew right away we didn’t want anyone else!! We were so thrilled when Jamie had availability for our wedding and he was the first contract we ever signed! Jamie did an absolutely incredible job capturing us and our pups and instantly brought tears to our eyes seeing our portrait done for the first time!
If you’ve thoroughly combed through our website, blog and Instagram feed and you like what you see, we could not be more ecstatic to have the chance to celebrate your big day with you! Once your date is secured with your chosen venue, send us an inquiry to get the process rolling and we’ll send over our couple’s guide if Jamie’s calendar is currently open for your big day.
As soon as you know you’d like to officially have Jamie paint your big day (yay!) send us an email with your preferred live wedding painting package and canvas size and we will send over your booking materials which will make your reservation official once completed!
Ahead of your our big day, feel free to reach out to us with any questions or if you need advice on which scene to choose for your painting. About 6-8 weeks out from your event, we will reach out with a detailed survey so that you can go over your vision for the painting with us and supply any logistical info that will help us with our end of the planning process. After that, we will switch over to tying up any loose ends with your venue or wedding planner so that you don’t have to life a finger with the nitty gritty details, and the next time you see Jamie, he will have a paint brush in hand and be in the midst of capturing your moment!
If the venue allows, Jamie will set up his station about 2-3 hours ahead of the moment you’ve chosen to have painted so that he can begin filling in the background of your live wedding painting. He will capture your chosen moment and continue to paint throughout your event as timing allows. You can choose to visit the painting to see its progress throughout your event or visit Jamie’s station at the end for a grand reveal!
While we’re so sad the big day is over, your time with your painting is just beginning! Jamie will communicate to you and your planning team about the progress of your painting during your reception. In most cases, your painting will be finished, sealed and boxed for you to take home. However, in some cases, particularly when venue-imposed time restraints are a factor, a painting may need a few extra touch-ups in our studio.
If your painting needs studio touch-ups, we will arrange for a delivery of your painting 8-12 weeks after the big day. After that, it’s time to admire your painting! Whether your painting is finished at your wedding or in studio, it comes with attached hanging wire so that it can be hung up right away. Be sure to hang your painting out of the way of direct sunlight to keep it as protected as possible.

Can I choose any moment to have captured in my live wedding painting?
Absolutely! Many of our couples choose to have a moment from their ceremony or first dance painted, but the possibilities are endless for your live wedding painting. Some of our favorite unique requests have included first looks, parent dances or reception entrance paintings. If you have an even more unique vision in mind, get in touch and we will work on bringing your vision to life!
How far in advance should I book my live wedding painting?
We always suggest to book with us as soon as possible to ensure availability! Typically, our couples book at least a year in advance of their date, but we do often have last minute openings available. Popular dates are reserved quickly, with fall Saturdays typically booking up to two years in advance. To inquire about availability for your date, click here to send us an inquiry!
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes! Our LLC is licensed and we carry liability insurance with coverage for up to $1,000,000, which is the typical limit requested by most event venues. We can also provide venue-specific insurance certificates upon request.
What is required for you to set-up at my venue?
My setup is fairly minimal and self-contained. I have a portable easel and tarp/mat for my painting space. The venue should reserve a small space (no bigger than about 4’x6’) before I arrive. I will also need access to a power outlet to power my lamp for my easel. The only other thing I will need is access to a water source and somewhere to dispose of paint water after the event (such as a slop or utility sink).
