Paige and Luke’s finished painting!

Paige and Luke’s big day took place in downtown New Orleans in May 2022.  Their ceremony took place at the historic Holy Name of Jesus Church on the Loyola University New Orleans campus.  Their reception was held at the beautiful Hampton Inn Riverside Ballroom in the Central Business District of New Orleans.

The couple chose to have Jamie paint their ceremony, including the stunning and striking architecture of the church.  Paige requested a ceremony exit painting.  This was such a perfect choice, as it allowed for the couple to be larger on the canvas but still include the grandeur of their church venue.  Sometimes, having a grand and expansive venue means that the couple has to be smaller on the canvas to include both the details of the venue along with a realistic perspective.  A ceremony exit can be the best of both worlds in this case, including both the vast venue details and a couple that is larger in the foreground of the painting.

We absolutely loved all of the New Orleans touches at Paige and Luke’s wedding!  It was the first time we experienced a wedding themed to its location.  Some of the fun details included a second line parade and handmade beignets that were butler passed following the couple’s cake cutting.

Congratulations again to Paige and Luke!  Thank you so much for having Jamie capture your special day on canvas.
